HeimStay Host Standards
Every HeimStay home must meet these standards. By listing, the host agrees to them.
- Spotless on arrival: the home is fully cleaned before every guest: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, beds.
- Fresh linen and towels: clean sheets, pillowcases and towels for every guest, every stay.
- As shown: photos, beds, amenities and kosher/Shabbos details must match the listing exactly.
- Ready and working: hot water, heating/AC, appliances and Shabbos items (urn, hotplate, timers) in working order.
- Responsive host: answer guests quickly and be reachable during the stay.
- Honest pricing: no hidden fees beyond what the listing shows.
- Everything through HeimStay: All bookings, payments and communication must go through HeimStay. Sharing contact details to book outside the site can lead to removal.
Host agreement
By listing on HeimStay, the host confirms and agrees that:
- Legal right to rent: the host owns the home or has the owner's permission, and has every permit, license and approval the law requires to rent it.
- Own insurance: the host carries their own insurance for the home and for hosting guests. HeimStay does not insure hosts, guests or homes.
- Guest safety: the host is responsible for the safety of the home and of the guests staying in it.
- Accurate listing: the host is responsible for the accuracy of the listing, including kashrus, eruv and distance-to-shul details. HeimStay does not inspect homes or verify these claims.
- Terms of Service: the host accepts the HeimStay Terms of Service. HeimStay is a marketplace and is not a party to any rental.
Quality and removal
HeimStay checks guest feedback. If guests complain (for example about cleanliness, missing linen/towels, or a home not matching its listing), HeimStay may suspend or remove the listing at its discretion.
